It's part not giving in and part trusting your friends

New rant/political/musings/poetry blog here. Will retain this one for my ego-centric locked posts!!!

Let me know if you'd like a link.

Look! It's a heavy metal band!

Finland for the win

I wish they had a telly at the Temple; I reckon Wogan'll be on form as per usual, there's some real cheesy shit this year.

In my Eurovision wishlist, I'd like Schlemish to represent Germany next year; they rock.

Mmmm, hairy men, men with long hair mmMmmmmmmmmm :P

Jennie in Morocco

Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet

Fuck me. I just won a slam! Not only am I still in shock, but also this means I've got just over a month to write a finals-worthy poem.

Eeek.

PS Seen her three times, but Chloe Poems kicks arse.

Eeyore's Sad and Gloomy Place

beyond the stars, beneath the sun

Quick update. I am still alive. Been stupidly busy; burning the candle both ends, in the middle for the hell of it, and then chucking the whole lot into a bonfire for good measure. So, yes, I am tired. And my brain isn't being as effective as it could be.

Enough whinging, I'm fine really. Got my arms, legs, teeth, stomach, heart, and am still here. There are things I could do without, but hey.

Hope you're all ok. I am on leave from mid-Oct and heading up North for a glorious month from the 23rd November, see some of you then?

The government is evil but I won't let them hurt you

Lovely, lovely weekend. Singing, hanging out with [info]erinamelia; lovely company from the lovely Miss Erin (Yay, scones! Yay, much, much tea! Yay, stir-fry! Yay, you and Matt! Yay, Firefly!); Sunday spent eating much food for breakfast brunch LUNCH at the Gardener's Arms (veggie fooooooood and ale mmmmmm) then sleeping through the rest of the day totally pogged out. Oh joy.

Busy sorting out what I want to do with the future; as much as I love this beautiful, eccentric city with its lush parks, interesting architecture and cool green scene; I think my time here is running out. And that it will soon be time to say goodbye. Within a year at least...

Sorry to be bit vague at the mo - when I've figured out where to go next I'll let you know! But just to end, I've had an amazing weekend, feel rested and ready to kick arse!

Many healing hugs to those who really need them (you know who you are) and love and more hugs to everyone else. I'll be up to see the Manchester massive in the new year (so look out: Lizzy, Lotte, Kate, Urwen, Masati, David, Emily, Ed, Graham, Gareth, Sarah, Alex, Elise, Gen, Justine, Paul, Hugo, Rick, Nick and t'other Jon - I'll be seeking you out!).
